Brad Irvin Returns to TISD

Brad Irvin named Police Chief and Director of Security for Texarkana Independent School District. With over twenty years in law enforcement, and risk management and sixteen years spent working for TISD, Irvin is proud to once again be a part of the Tiger family. He received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice degree from Texas A&M University – Texarkana (TAMUT) in 1999. In 2015, he completed his master’s degree in Criminal Justice at TAMUT.

He is a Master Peace Officer, Certified Texas Police Officer, and holds several certifications related to risk management and crisis prevention. In his previous role as Director of Risk Management in the Texarkana Independent School District, Irvin managed the district’s safety and energy systems, district safety audits, and program safety operations to ensure effective outcomes. He also previously taught History, American History, Geography, and Criminal Justice classes for TISD.
