TISD Tigers SECOND in the nation in Boy’s High School Golf National Invitational June 28-30, 2021
TISD’s TIGER BOYS GOLF were not only invited to attend the “by invitation” National High School Invitational at the legendary Pinehurst Golf Resort, but ended the week in SECOND PLACE out of 46 Teams and TISD player THOMAS CURRY tied for SECOND PLACE individually. The Boys Invitational is a 3-day, 54 hole stroke play event including team and individual competition.
The invite-only tournament field was made up of the top high school golfers across the country competing at a place as timeless as the game itself. Receiving an invitation to the National Invitational is quite an honor since only the best high school golf teams and individuals receive invites based on state championship performance. The Invitational brings together a wide variety of golfers from nearly all 50 states. Public or private. Suburban or rural. Small or large.
Congratulations to ALL Tiger players AND to coach Ryan Huntze! Go Tigers! Another Texarkana superlative to CELEBRATE! Check out goTXK.org for more celebration of our innumerable Texarkana superlatives!
