TASD scores a FIRST in the state of Arkansas!

North Heights Community School has qualified to create the FIRST EVER honor society for elementary students in Arkansas.  A program of the National Elementary Honor Society, local administrators were required to make official application, which included creating a faculty council and soliciting community partners willing to offer service opportunities for the fourth and fifth grade students.  This exciting new program for Texarkana area students has successfully been launched, with the first twenty inductees already called on to assist with Arbor Day tree plantings.
 
Congratulations to North Heights Principal Samantha Coleman (LT Class of 2022) and ALL faculty and administrators moved to make this happen, as well as to the first qualifying students to be inducted.  Another Texarkana superlative to celebrate!
