Phyllis Deese is Leading the Way in Texarkana USA
This week we celebrate the dynamic leadership at TRAHC: Board President Phyllis Deese – who has provided tireless support of Executive Director Jennifer Unger’s TRAHC staff team at the helm of an equally dynamic Board of Directors for TRAHC for the past three years. At the same time as the TRAHC team has been constantly reimagining the innumerable ways that TRAHC is able to Grow People and Our Community Through the Arts for Texarkana in the post-covid era, the entire TRAHC Board and staff team – with many generous partners – have been laser-focused on the exciting developments as TRAHC’s brand new creative art space is taking shape – (with Board member Gary Gathright keeping things on track!)
Located at 518 Pine St. in downtown Texarkana, the former Offenhauser building will be home to brand new arts opportunities across many genres: visual arts, digital arts, dance, theatre, music – TRAHC will have it all! As they have posted on the TRAHC facebook page:
“We owe a HUGE thank you to Offenhauser & Co for donating the building, to our anonymous donor for completely replacing the HVAC and to Restoration of Hope for taking on this project with so much vigor and care. We are so grateful for such generous donors pouring into the arts in our community and believing in this project.”
Visit their facebook page for suggestions on names for the new art space… and be sure to stay tuned for updates! THANKS to Phyllis –the entire TRAHC Board and staff team and all partners involved–for their ongoing dedication to maximizing our community excellence for all – through the ARTS!
