2019 Texarkana Tractor Equipment Rodeo
7:30-9:30 p.m., Four States Fair Entertainment Center. Presented by Ledwell. Local heavy equipment operators compete for prizes and bragging rights of being the best operator in the four states area. Adults $15, children $10. Five and under free. Buy tickets.

3. Saturday, Sept. 14
29th Annual Demolition Derby
7:30-9:30 p.m., Four States Fair Entertainment Center. Presented by Texarkana Mack & Volvo. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the Pit Party at 6:30. Buy tickets.
 

4. Monday, Sept. 9 [TODAY]
Opportunities Inc. 30th Annual Golf Invitational
10:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Texarkana Country Club. This event has raised over $2.5M to help provide services to children and adults with developmental disabilities and the elderly. See more.

5. Tuesday, Sept. 10
Texarkana Area Razorback Club Hog Call
6:30 p.m., Arkansas Convention Center. University of Arkansas head baseball coach Dave Van Horn is coming to Texarkana! Doors open at 6:30. Big Jake’s BBQ will be served. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children under 12. Tickets can be purchased at the Mil-Way Federal Credit Union in Texarkana, Arkansas or Ashdown, Arkansas. See more.

6. Tuesday, Sept. 10
Clay Pumpkin Workshop
6:30-8:30 p.m., Regional Arts Center. Why spend money on generic fall decor when you could display something uniquely handcrafted? Come have some creative fun with local artisan Chris Thomas as she shows you how to work clay into a captivating fall pumpkin set that can’t be bought in stores! $55.00 (includes supplies). See more.

Southern Social & Draw Down

Draw Down for Disabilities
6-9 p.m., 1 Oak Hill Place, Texarkana, Texas. Drawdown fundraiser benefiting Texarkana Resources for the Disabled, Inc. Come enjoy a night of refreshments, entertainment, and a chance to win $5,000! Tickets are $100 and will get two people into the event. See more.

TRAHC presents The Muses performing “The Magic Flute”
7 p.m., Regional Arts Center – Cabe Hall. TRAHC presents The Muses Project of Hot Springs with its fully staged production of W.A. TexRep presents the Waverly Gallery
Shows at 7:30 p.m. in Texarkana College’s Stilwell Theatre. Beautifully written truth telling –  Filled with humor and love and loss… Not to be missed – one weekend only! Gladys, the elderly matriarch of the Green family, has run an art gallery in a small Greenwich Village hotel for many years. The management wants to replace her less-than-thriving gallery with a coffee shop. Always irascible but now increasingly erratic, Gladys is a cause of concern to her daughter, her son-in-law, and her grandson, from whose point of view this poignant memory play is told. A wacky and heartrending look at the effect of senility on a family. Buy tickets.
