Leading the Way – Anthony DelGiorno

After graduating from Pleasant Grove High School, Anthony attended Texas A&M at Texarkana and the University of Texas at Dallas, pursuing his passion for political and social sciences and graduating Cum Laude with a major in International Political Economy in 2020. His educational expertise landed him a job as a Development Specialist for the Ark-Tex Council of Government (ATCOG). ATCOG conducts planning and assists local governments in the implementation of plans. Their vision is to improve the quality of life for all citizens. Anthony contributes to this in his role by surveying local mayors, school superintendents, chambers of commerce and other entities to see how the ability of broadband during the COVID-19 pandemic helped the community coped. Not only does he service Bowie and Miller County, but he serves 8 other counties as well.  

Anthony moved to Texarkana, TX 15 years ago when he was 7. DelGiorno’s family soon became an invaluable pillar in our community;  his father, Bob DelGiorno, owns and operates Fox Sports 97.1FM/1400 AM FoxSportsTexarkana.com.  Anthony forged a stellar work ethic at his father’s radio company, working board operations at the station and assisting with Fox Sports broadcasts for Texarkana, and reflecting his father’s outgoing personality.  Although Anthony enjoys working in Texarkana, he hopes to pursue a master’s degree and work in an international arena.
