The COVID-19 Pandemic has brought new challenges for many families in Texarkana as a result of school closures and job loss, which has led to issues related to hunger for the first time for many citizens. The Harvest Regional Food Bank has stepped up and stepped out in an attempt to provide aid in and around Texarkana by expanding their Mobile Pantry Program. In their response to the Pandemic, Harvest Regional Food Bank has distributed over 2.5 million pounds to individual and families in need, and gaining 271 new donors. Harvest Regional Food Bank is a proud member of Feeding America, which is a national network of food banks that spans the entire United States.
Harvest Texarkana succeeds under the outstanding leadership of Executive Director Camille Wrinkle, (LT Class of 2015) and her dedicated staff – all supported by the generosity of the hundreds of donors and volunteers who make it possible.
