2. PGHS 23rd Annual Juried Art Exhibition and Senior Show
Monday, April 5
You are invited to the PGHS 23rd Annual Juried Art Exhibition and Senior Show on Monday, April 5, 2021. This year our program will have over 500 individual works on display, 7 senior portfolios, and 8 group installations. Works include drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, digital design, photography, printmaking, product design, assemblage, and 2D design. Students in this show have won numerous state and national awards. This year due to Covid we will be unable to serve food at our reception, however we will have ongoing art demonstrations including hands on tables for children. Learn more!

3. Mixed Media Background Painty Papers
Monday, April 5
Introducing our brand new class – Mixed Media Background Painty Papers! In this class students will learn several techniques for creating your own “painty” papers. These can be used as backgrounds for greeting cards, canvas paintings, art journaling, ATC’s, bookmarks, Art tags, etc. Students will be using papers, acrylic paints, acrylic inks, watercolors, stencils, stamps, gelli plate, and more! Take home your own stack of funky colorful pages. Prepare to get messy using your hands to paint! Learn more.

Calling for vendors. Were you crafty or artsy during the COVID shutdown or the snowstorm? We are re-vamping the 2nd Saturday Trade Days at The Historic 1894, 105 Olive Street, and invite you to join us for the April 10th event. Set-up will be at 9 and we will be open until 3. We have booths available for very reasonable prices: free-on street, $10-on dock, extra $10-canopy, and an extra $20-electricity. Please send a message or call 870-330-5003, and we will get you registered for a booth space.
 

8. LAST CHANCE – 19th Annual Regional Celebration of African American Arts Exhibit

Explore the African American Artists exhibit of quilts, fabrics, and fibers at the Regional Arts Center.
 

9. A Saturday Morning in 1971
Saturday, April 10
Discovery Place and Healthcare Express are taking you back to a Saturday morning in 1971. There will be activities and crafts for kids to enjoy before we come together to watch cartoons and eat at the cereal bar featuring cereal that was released in 1971. This blast to the past will be April 10th from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Sportsplex by Healthcare Express. Tickets will be $5 per person, if you are a TMS member tickets will be free.
