Since Briley has joined the practice, she has added sclerals lenses and myopia management to their office’s services. Scleral lenses are specialty, hard contact lenses that’s are often used with corneal abnormalities, such as keratoconus. These patients often cannot see well with glasses, so these lenses provide them with better vision than any other option. Myopia management is a program for near-sighted children. Through intervention methods, we can slow prescription progression and minimize risk for ocular complications that come with being near-sighted.
