Jason Ross is Leading the Way in Texarkana USA
Jason Ross is a breath of fresh air with a servant’s heart. His favorite Word is “Approved”. Jason is dedicated to helping the City of Texarkana thrive, with an emphasis on the downtown area. He helped bring Destination Texarkana to life and is involved with many boards. Including Leadership Texarkana, Habitat for Humanity and GTYP. He graduated for Southern Arkansas University, and we are lucky he made Texarkana his home. As a banker committed to serving Texarkanians, he helped bring Simmons Bank to Texarkana, which opened in Arkansas in 1903 and is a bank of many firsts:
In 1933 during the Great Depression. It was one of the first Arkansas Banks to reopen after the federally imposed “bank Holiday”. It was the first bank in Arkansas to offer a credit card. On March 23, 1984, a customer withdrew $285 from an automated teller machine in Sydney, Australia, which was the first intercontinental transaction ever via an ATM.
Jason is currently leading Simmons Bank from a temporary location while waiting to move into a beautiful new Texarkana Simmons branch in 2024.
Thank you, Jason, for stepping up and leading the way!
