Jon Thornton is Leading the Way in Texarkana USA
As a trusted HVAC contractor for our region, Jon Thornton is a passionate businessman striving for quality service and customer satisfaction, one unit at a time! Servicing all Southern Arkansas and Northeast Texas, his main mission as a Texarkana Native is simple: to provide top-notch solutions to his hometown’s problems. Jon has built his business on hard work and a deep commitment to improving the comfort and safety of his community.
A 1997 graduate of Arkansas High, Jon has three associate degrees from Texarkana College, in Chemistry, Biology, and Art Applied Science; with the encouragement of his Master Electrician brother Jeremy, he found he loved working in HVAC. Working during the day, and studying at night, Jon grounded his true path with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M Texarkana. Jon had already passed the EPA(Environmental Protection Agency) test to become a technician, but wanted more. In 2017, he was approved to take my Arkansas Class A HVAC Contractor test, passed it and opened Urban Mechanical. Jon has since passed his Texas Class A HVAC contractors test also, opening Urban Spray Foam at the end of 2021. Jon says he has several big plans for the future of the businesses, plans to continue to grow.
Jon grew up in Texarkana, AR with a love of playing sports, fishing in local ponds, dancing, and says he really loved Art.(Draw and Paint). Jon says, “I really love to work also. I guess it’s like they say: If you enjoy what you do then you will never work a day in your life; maybe this is why I enjoy working. I love helping people because I have been helped. I know what it’s like to not have anything or be in a jam when everyone has given up on you. Sometimes it just takes one person to help you and I haven’t forgotten who helped me and never will.” Jon and his wife Misty and 2 daughters, Emma Thornton(19) and Ryen Thornton(15) are members of Heritage Church.
