A Program of Leadership Texarkana

Jenny Wilder is Leading the Way in Texarkana USA

When Jenny Wilder made the decision to invest in opening Lost Pizza Co. in Texarkana, her goal was creating a place where local youths could build skills that would help them thrive – both now and in the years to come.

Those new to the workforce require a lot of hands-on training and coaching. Jenny sees the value in providing opportunities for young people to gain job experience in a safe workplace where they can learn not just work skills but life skills. She is committed to serving our youth while also serving great pizza! “Most days, pizza is the easiest part.”

Of the 50 people on staff, 75% are high school or college students. Jenny strives to put the young people on her team into the community and teach them what the community needs. Lost Pizza Co. hosts several events with the Texarkana community, including trunk or treat and domestic violence prevention fundraisers, to name just a couple.

Jenny previously served on the Literacy Council board and continues to work closely with the agency by employing a few of its young adult clients. Many young staff are busy juggling school and helping put food on the table at home. She strives to connect them with seeing the big picture to take control of their lives while acquiring essential skills.
