Wholesale Electric Supply was founded in 1947 and is a third-generation family owned and operated Texarkana business. Its original location was an old grocery store building on W. 3rd Street with 2,500 square feet of space. Today, there are over 77 Wholesale Electric branches (and counting) in seven states.
 
Wholesale Electric Supply was honored with the IMARK 2023 Gateway to Growth Circle of Honor in 2023 – and with the IMARK Electrical Member of the Year Purchasing Power Award in 2022.  IMARK Circle of Honor member inductees earn points based on the number of GTG suppliers they purchased from, the number of GTG product lines purchased as well as their monthly purchases of GTG products from their 2023 Gain Share partners. Wholesale Electric Supply was awarded 1st place out of 7 suppliers in Group 1.
