“This community is important to me and the idea of working with local students, educators and businesses is something I am passionate about and I am ready to get started; I look forward to working with community stakeholders and partners to promote and grow TC’s workforce programs… TC wants the best for the greater Texarkana area and I am honored to have an opportunity to serve in this position,” said Washington.
Serving the community comes as second nature to Washington. Currently, he serves as a member of the executive board of the Boy Scouts of America- Caddo Area Council, and has previously served on the boards of Hands on Texarkana and First Tee of Texarkana. Washington is also a 2009 graduate of Leadership Texarkana and held a previous board position. He holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Arkansas and a master’s degree in educational administration from Lamar University.
