Thursday, April 4

7 p.m., Texarkana Arkansas Convention Center. Farmers Bank & Trust is bringing actor, author, economist, and pop culture icon Ben Stein to Texarkana as a part of the Farmers Distinguished Speaker Series to raise funds for scholarships for Texarkana College students who transition to Texas A&M University-Texarkana to complete their four-year degree. Tickets to the dinner are $100; $200 includes a private reception with the guest speaker at 6 p.m. Learn more.

2. The Wizard of Oz with the Texarkana Symphony Orchestra
Saturday, April 6

7:30 p.m., Perot Theatre. The Wizard of Oz brought to Texarkana with a glorious touch! On the big screen at the Perot Theatre while the score is performed LIVE by the Texarkana Symphony Orchestra! A delight for all ages! Learn more.

The Ark-La-Tex Challenge

A bike ride that offers both novice and experienced cyclists a ride unlike many others. This ride will allow you to ride through three states in one ride. We offer five different distances to accommodate different cyclist levels. 35 Miles into the 70 mile route you will arrive at 3 states and get to take a victory photo standing in Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana! Biking for fun! 

Learn about the history of Downtown Texarkana while having fun, staying active, and enjoying the beautiful spring weather when the Texarkana Arts & Historic District offers bike tours of historic downtown Texarkana! Meet at 5:15 PM at the Museum of Regional History and be ready for an approximately hour long leisurely ride around the downtown area. Four Person Golf Scramble to be held at Texarkana Country Club benefitting youth to go to Scout to camp who otherwise could not attend due to financial hardship. Since the start of the “Send a Scout to Camp” Golf Tournament, your generous support has helped send over 1,300 Scouts to Cub Scout Camp, Boy Scout Camp, Resident Camp, National Jamborees, and High Adventure Bases. In Thirteen years, the tournament has added of $225,000 to the campership fund.
