2. 5th Annual JIVE FOR FIVE Twice as Fine Texarkana Wine Festival 
Saturday, May 4

11 a.m.-7 p.m., Spring Lake Park. Join the thousands enjoying this one-of-its kind wine, art, music and food festival. FREE for all to enjoy the arts, food and music. 3. 8th Annual Hats and Horses: A Day At The Derby

4-7 p.m., Texarkana Country Club. Texarkana’s premier Kentucky Derby watch party, featuring Derby-themed food and live music – all while raising funds and awareness to benefit Eagle Impact for Texas A&M University-Texarkana in support of scholarships, athletics, and student life. Learn more.

Yoga in the Galleries for East Texas Giving Day 

At the Regional Arts Center, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Presented by TRAHC (Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council) with Colleen Narens from 405 Yoga. Free and open to the public. Suggested $10 donation.

3rd Annual Golf Tournament benefiting For the Sake of One

Texarkana Golf Ranch, 9 a.m. shotgun start. Come out for a great day and support children who can’t speak up for themselves – benefiting this local nonprofit that helps the foster care community! Includes breakfast from Wendy’s and lunch from Big Jakes BBQ. Micah’s Jewelers is donating a watch for the long drive and mulligans and red tees will be available for $5 each. Choral Workshop with Dr Wallace Long 

Texarkana College of Liberal and Performing Arts. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. with casual public performance at 4 p.m. A learning opportunity for the community at large, as well as chorale members. Long’s one-day workshop will take learners from the fundamentals of great choral sound production to the application of concepts learned in repertoire. 20th Annual Walk/Run for Life 

Spring Lake Park. Events include 5K and 10K races, a Fun Run for kids, and the Walk that is open to all ages and activity levels. Our 5k & 10k races will have chip timing this year, and we have added a Diaper Derby for the little ones! Learn more.

Tug of War Throwdown

Texarkana’s First Ratha-Yatra Parade for Peace
