1. 2019 Great Texarkana DuckFest featuring Jase Robertson of Duck Dynasty
Friday, Aug. 9
5-10 p.m. at the Four States Fairgrounds. The Duck Fest will feature food, music by Caroline Joyce and The Dusty Rose Band and fun for the whole family. Proceeds from the event will assist the CHRISTUS St. Michael Foundation in their efforts to support health services and programs for the Texarkana region at CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System. Duck enthusiasts can also compete in a duck call contest on stage with Jase Robertson at approximately 7 p.m. for $100 (includes general admission) and is limited to 20 participants on a first-come first-serve basis. The petting zoo will be open, there will be food and beverages for sale, and children 12-and-under are admitted free of charge. Bring your own blankets and chairs! Adopt your ducks today. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – Arkansas Chapter fundraiser for the AFSP Out of the Darkness Walk will take place at Newk’s Eatery on 3001 Mall Dr., Texarkana, TX from 5pm to 9pm. Join us for the highly technical but extremely rewarding world of Resin Art!
