For the Sake of One Receives Wilbur Award for Outstanding Organization

This year’s Wilbur Award for Organizational Leadership was presented to For the Sake of One – founded by–and run with passion by its director Angela Coston and her team.

For the Sake of One provides necessary resources and support for foster children and families in the Texarkana area. The work of the organization assists with reunification of families in several ways including maintaining a resource room, encouraging case workers, supporting/recruiting foster families and supporting biological parents through parenting classes and support groups.  For the Sake of One programs and staff continue to expand (as does the need); there are only 20 foster homes in Bowie/Miller Counties and over 220 children currently in care.
