1. MLK Day of Service
Monday, January 17
Texarkana Museums System will host a public scanning day on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We enjoy it when the community brings family history to share with us and the rest of our communities. TMS invites anyone and everyone to bring personal documents on January 17 to the Museum of Regional History for staff AND volunteers to scan and record in our archives. We believe storytelling is an important part of maintaining the history of our region. So, bring any documents you feel need to be scanned and saved into our archives for future generations to learn and grow from. Learn more!

2. Movie Night: The Help
Thursday, January 20
The Museum of Regional History is showing The Help at the 1923 Banana Club. Tickets are $40 or $70 per couple. Member tickets are $15 or $30 per couple. Dinner and a MEMBERSHIP will be included with the purchase. Learn more!

3. Speaker Series: Joseph Raymond
Thursday, January 20
Joseph Raymond will be the first of seven speakers in our series this year! His subject will be Marketing Your Business/Art. This speaker is a full time successful artist in the Texarkana area who owns his own gallery. He will be talking about how to sell a product- specifically art. This would be a relevant topic for any artist who wants to sell their work but isn’t sure on the next step! Learn more.

4. Murder at Midnight Manor
Friday, January 21

Guest Lecturer Griff Hubbard will be presenting about the “Texas & Pacific Railway Engine #642.” Join us at the Ace of Clubs House to learn more about Texarkana history with Wilber Smith’s nephew.
