Chad Pirtle – Adult Wilbur Honoree
Continuing the Wilbur tradition set from the beginning of the awards thirty years ago, Leadership Texarkana honors and celebrates the individuals nominated for Wilbur Awards each year, all exemplary models of community leadership that are worth following.
During his tenure as district superintendent, Chad Pirtle has led PGISD to unprecedented growth and achievement. Leading the district with passion, commitment, and consistent support, Mr. Pirtle has focused all stakeholders in an collaborative committed to ensuring high levels of learning for all students. Through Chads leadership, PGISD has become a vibrant and successful Professional Learning Community, a proven path for sustained, substantive improvement in schools and districts. With a goal of becoming a MODEL PLC, Mr. Pirtle continues to lead the charge by taking over 100 teachers and administrators to the PLC Institute in Little Rock, a record setting number for a district the size of PGISD.
