Dr. Kasey Coggin is Leading the Way in Texarkana USA

Dr. Coggin is passionate about serving others, particularly our future leaders. As Principal of Waggoner Creek Elementary School, you can find Kasey greeting students as they arrive each day, walking the hallways, visiting classrooms, and planning with teachers. Coggin knows students must feel loved and connected in order to learn. “I hope each student at Waggoner Creek knows how loved they are by all staff. We believe in the power of goal-setting and helping each student discover his or her genius,” she says. 

In addition to her role in TISD as principal, Kasey is invested in the community of Texarkana as a whole. A 2021 Leadership Texarkana graduate, Dr. Coggin serves on the Board of Directors for Temple Memorial Pediatric Center. She is a supporter of Women for A&M Texarkana, Pitch It Texarkana, and Dancing with Our Stars. 

Coggin holds a Bachelor of Science, Master of Education, and Doctorate of Education from Texas A&M University – Texarkana.
