Texarkana TX Cyber Security Grant

In 2022, the City of Texarkana Texas applied for and was awarded a $219,000 cyber security grant to improve the overall ability of the City to respond to and recover from critical cyber incidents.

This grant, fully implemented in 2023, was a joint effort between the Texarkana Texas Office of Emergency Management and the Information Technology Department of the Texarkana Water Utilities. This grant was written to apply lessons learned from the December 2020 cyber-attack that impacted the City.
