Ayden Howard is Leading the Way in Texarkana USA

(Nominated by Hannah Hubrel) Ayden has established himself as an exceptional leader on his high school campus and in the broader community. On campus, Ayden actively participates in both the band and the football team, effectively showcasing his remarkable leadership abilities. As a testament to his academic prowess, Ayden has been appointed to the student committee responsible for interviewing candidates for the esteemed position of the new TASD superintendent.  Ayden is also a valued member of The Scholars, a Texarkana organization dedicated to nurturing students’ academic and entrepreneurial skills. Impressively, at the age of 11, Ayden successfully organized the Juneteenth parade, establishing a significant event for Texarkana area celebrations.

Leadership Texarkana’s Wilbur Awards have been given annually since 1992, in memory of community servant and historian Wilbur Smith. Celebrating the power of one to positively impact our community, the Wilbur Awards are given in three categories, honoring adults, youth, and organizations to individuals and groups who demonstrate exemplary leadership in the community and a commitment to working together for community excellence.
