Keith Beason is Leading the Way in Texarkana USA

Keith is serving the city of Texarkana, TX and the whole Texarkana community through his current role in the Parks Department, where he is currently stepping up to lead the way in guiding long term community plans for city parks to serve Texarkana citizens over the coming decades. Keith has served the city through the Parks Department for several years, having the opportunity last year to serve as the Texas Side Chairman of the TXK150 Sesquicentennial Committee. Keith currently serves as the Community Engagement/ Parks Project Manager for the City of Texarkana, Texas Parks, and Recreation Department, having completed his Parks and Recreation Professional Certification program with the National Recreation and Parks Association in 2024.   

Keith also brings his passionate dedication to serving our community beyond his city position by serving on the Board of Directors for Leadership Texarkana, working in a pivotal role on LT’s goTXK team to champion Texarkana superlatives and working smart together to magnify our community’s narrative of excellence. Keith also serves as President of Phi Lambda Chi National Fraternity and as a Board Member for To Reach Every Youth.  Keith was raised in Texarkana and attended K-12 at Redwater ISD; he received his bachelor’s degree from Southern Arkansas University, and Master of Adult and Higher Education degree from Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
