1. A Walk Through History
Wednesday, October 12
The City of Texarkana, TX Parks and Recreation Department received a grant in 2019 to develop a history walk around the pond at Spring Lake Park. While this is often a self guided tour, we are starting a guided version of this walking tour! Each Wednesday at 9:30 AM from October 12th to November 2nd, we invite anyone that would like to join, A Walk Through History at Spring Lake Park. We will limit participants to 20 per tour, so please register soon, at this link!
2. Movies in the Park
Thursday, October 13
Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreation Department presents Movies in the Park, sponsored by Healthcare Express! All movies begin around 7:00 PM in Spring Lake Park. Concessions are available, bring your own chair. The movie schedule is as follows: October 13th – The Lost City. Learn more!
3. A Cycle Through History – Downtown Bike Tours
Friday, October 14
The Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreation Department and Texarkana Museum System present A Cycle Through History – Downtown Bike Tours. The Tours will be each Friday from October 14th to November 4th at 5:30 PM. The tours will begin at the Museum of Regional History, 219 N. Stateline Ave., Texarkana, TX 75501, and end at Pecan Point Brewery for free appetizers! The Tour is free for those with bicycles, and $5.00 if a participant needs to rent a bicycle. Learn more!

5. Main Street Oktoberfest
Saturday, October 15
The inaugural Oktoberfest on the Line, presented by Farmers Bank & Trust, is an event you won’t want to miss! Exclusive biergarten with premium tasting flights. 6. Edge of Texas Golf Tournament & After Party
Saturday, October 15
Join us for the 17th Annual Edge of Texas Golf Tournament and After Party benefitting CASA for Children and the Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center. Golf registration opens at 8:00 am with tee off at 9:00. After party, featuring Austin-based 90’s cover band, ZooDust, starts at 6:30 pm. 7. Texarkana Sunrise Rotary 1st Annual Car Show
Saturday, October 15
Texarkana Sunrise Rotary Club’s 1st Annual Car Show will be held behind On the Borden and Reggies Burgers Parking Lot, October 15, 2022 starting at 8am. The public is invited to see the over 80 cars on display. Set-up and registration will begin at 7:30am. Door prizes for the entrants throughout the day and Awards will be given at 2:00pm. 8. Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Saturday, October 15

9. 2nd Annual Katina R. Levingston Breast Cancer Race
Saturday, October 15
Register for the race at www.toughkookie.org. You can walk a 1 mile fun walk for $25, sleep-in for $25, walk a 5k for $25 or 5k run for $35. We would love for you, your family, and the community to come out and support this great cause.
10. Texarkana Food Truck Festival & Hot Air Balloon Glow-Show
Saturday, October 15
