1. Juneteenth
Monday, June 19
On June 19, 1865, nearly two years after President Abraham Lincoln emancipated enslaved Africans in America, Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas with news of freedom. More than 250,000 African Americans embraced freedom by executive decree in what became known as Juneteenth or Freedom Day. With the principles of self-determination, citizenship, and democracy magnifying their hopes and dreams, those Texans held fast to the promise of true liberty for all. 2. Shawn Klush – The Ultimate Elvis at the Perot

Shawn Klush: The Ultimate ELVIS is the biggest traveling Elvis tribute show on the road today, with 16 LIVE performers on stage, the legendary Blackwood Quartet, and Sweet Inspiration, Estelle Brown who sang over 1000 shows with Elvis himself. 3. Oceans of Fun Art Camp at 1894 Gallery

This camp will be led by Kay Shirley and will be five days of fun. You will need to preregister and pay at The Gallery at 1894. The cost of this camp is $125. Learn more!
4. TRAHC’s Summer Camps: Build a House with Kay Thomas
June 20 – June 22
Join TRAHC’s National Teaching Artist and sculptor Kay Thomas for a 3 day building experience. Using cardboard, boxes, and everyday materials, art campers will design and build the house of their dreams. Grades 2-5. 10-11:30 AM.
