SPOTLIGHT ON 1. Pedal Punk Thursday, April 17 Enter the world of Pedal Punk (Website), a Steampunk-inspired place where cycling is the way to escape the technology-obsessed society. In the Pedal Punk theater show, we experience the excitement, artistry, and thrill that occurs when a wacky bike shop mechanic interacts with cyclists and bikes. He repairs more than broken pieces. Big Bass Showdown Saturday, April 19 The Big Bass Showdown will be a great opportunity for fishermen to win big prizes–not only at weigh-in, but also at the silent auction that will be hosted the night before the tournament at Bubba’s 33. Create-A-Cape with Darlene Taylor Saturday, April 19 Darlene Taylor will guide participants through a Saturday cape workshop. This workshop will take place Saturday, April 19 from 12-4pm at TRAHC’s arts space (518 Pine Street, Texarkana, TX 75501). Darlene will lead individuals through the cape item on the Simplicity 6676 pattern. Registrants should bring their own sewing machines and any preferred fabric or embellishments for their cape. Exhibition: Jiggity Jog by Will Bryant Through April 19 A collection of recent work from Texarkana native Will Bryant. Featuring paintings, prints, drawings, soft sculptures, and collaborations with glass sculptor Austin Fields and textile designer Kyle Bunting. The Regional Arts Center is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. and, like all of TRAHC’s visual art exhibits, is FREE to the public.
