Rikia Johnson is Leading the Way in Texarkana USA

At Texas A&M University–Texarkana, student leadership takes many forms, but few embody it as completely as the dynamic and service-minded President of both Rotaract Club of Texas A&M-Texarkana and Student Veterans Association, Rikia Johnson. With a heart for service, a mind for leadership, and a passion for making a difference, Rikia is leading the way to build stronger communities and inspire the next generation of changemakers. From the moment Rikia stepped onto campus, it was clear that she was not there just to earn a degree but to also leave an unforgettable legacy. Her journey is marked by a commitment to service above self, whether through organizing campus-wide volunteer events, leading discussions on community impact, or mentoring fellow student leaders. As President, the Rotaract Club has immensely flourished, growing in membership and in mission, and making meaningful connections throughout the Texarkana community. Under her leadership, the Rotaract Club has partnered with Texarkana Wilbur Smith Rotary, Randy Sam’s Outreach Shelter, Runnin’ WJ Ranch, Opportunities, Inc., Alzheimer’s Alliance Tri-State, and Texarkana Resources for the Disabled.

As President of the Student Veterans Association, Rikia brings a unique blend of discipline, empathy, and vision. She understands the power of community—not just as a support system, but as a catalyst for transformation. Whether it’s advocating for veteran support resources or creating inclusive spaces for student voices, Rikia is tireless in her pursuit of progress.
