Dr. Heather McKnight is Leading the Way in Texarkana USA

Dr. Heather McKnight, DNP, RN, NE-BC is the Founding Dean for the College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services at Texas A&M University-Texarkana, with responsibility for a variety of academic programs such as nursing, kinesiology, social work, healthcare administration, among others in development. Dr. McKnight also leads program/curriculum development, recruitment/retention, and innovation for the College.

Dr. McKnight has over 20 years of experience in nursing; including education, acute care services, The Joint Commission Stroke program development, and Magnet® program development, among others. Program development, evaluation, and continuous improvement have been major areas of career focus for the last 16 years in both the acute care setting as well as academia.
