Texarkana USA’s progress from Strategic Doing recently featured in global conversation!
On January 27th, Leadership Texarkana Executive Director Ruth Ellen Whitt was invited to spend an hour in a global conversation with Strategic Doing founder Ed Morrison “…to explore what you are learning from your [Strategic Doing] work in Texarkana.” The conversation was one of a new weekly series of conversations with Ed Morrison which are being broadcast internationally via zoom in conjunction with SD’s new digital partners CONNECTS based in Brussels. Participants in the zoom conversation hailed from South Africa to Bangladesh, Spain and beyond! Ruth Ellen reported “It was a humbling experience!” The conversation centered around our Strategic Doing Initiative which is somewhat uniquely focused on tapping the benefits of the Strategic Doing process for our community-wide (and regional) pursuit of excellence. Ed and many others of the Strategic Doing core faculty have been connected directly to Texarkana’s ongoing Strategic Doing initiative in a variety of ways for the past five years, which has been an invaluable resource throughout. In his invitation, Ed shared “I have been promoting your work to folks in Shreveport and Austin.”
Ed’s vision since he began work on Strategic Doing twenty plus years ago has been of SD as an open source asset. In that spirit, he extends this invitation to all: “Join our Strategic Doing Learning Community on CONNECTS (it’s free). You’ll get the Zoom links and access to recordings for our Strategic Doing Talks on Fridays. Join here!
