1. TSO – Christmas at the Perot
Saturday, December 14
Christmas at the Perot with the Texarkana Symphony Orchestra, Texarkana Youth Symphony Orchestra, Pleasant Grove Curtain Call Productions, the Community Ballet of Texarkana, and soprano, Rachel Copeland. 2. Christmas Downtown
Saturday, December 14
This family event will include Christmas Carolers, Sweets and Cider, a Petting Zoo among many other activities. Visits to Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus will be 1-3, there will be a Christmas Pet Parade at 3, the parade will end in front of The Gallery for a Christmas Carol Sing-a-long. 3. Jingle Jog
Saturday, December 14
It’s that festive time of year again! Lace up your sneakers for the 2nd annual We Are Washington Jingle Jog 5K Race and Fun Walk! Sign Up Here.

4. Senior Day Out
Wednesday, December 11
Calling all senior citizens! Mark your calendars for Senior Day Out on Wednesday, December 11th, 2024 (9:00AM-2:00PM) at the Southwest Center (3222 W 7th St, Texarkana, TX). We will have live music, bingo, door prizes, photo booth, vendors providing health screenings, and FREE LUNCH FOR THE FIRST 100 PARTICIPANTS! We will be giving an additional door prize ticket to anyone that donates a new stuffed animal or blanket. All donations will be donated to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Texarkana. Learn more!

 
5. Collage Clinic with Kay Thomas
Thursday, December 12

We have the materials. You have the curiosity! Join Kay Thomas on Thursday, December 12th from 6-8pm for a Collage Clinic hosted in the Regional Arts Center basement (321 W. 4th Street, Texarkana, TX 75501). All materials will be provided by the artist and the arts center, and participants will leave with a framed collage. Registrants may bring specific additional materials to use during the clinic if they would like. This event is open to individuals 18+. Friday, December 13

Downtown Live is a monthly event that brings live art and music to the historic heart of Texarkana. Downtown businesses stay open late for visitors, many offering special deals and sales exclusive to DL! Learn more.

 
7. Hometown Christmas Show – Crossties
Sunday, December 15

There will be food, vendors, photo opportunities and entertainment. Come join in on the fun! Santa Claus will be making an appearance. Learn more!

 
8. TAAC Exhibition – Good Trouble Quilts
December 17 – March 1
Sponsored by the TRAHC African American Committee (TAAC), Good Trouble Quilts: Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Congressman John Lewis is an exhibition of 35 original quilted artworks that center around the work and impact of the Congressman. Learn more!
