The annual African American Voice: An Evening of Performance with Special Moments for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., is Texarkana’s opening event. Since 2002, it has been a full-house event in Cabe Hall, honoring Dr. King’s civil rights work and celebrating his birthday. The event is held every year without regard for weather conditions.
