1. Clint Black – Mostly Hits & The Mrs. Tour
Thursday, January 26

Grammy-winning Country superstar Clint Black and his wife Lisa Hartman Black are hitting the road again for year two of the “Mostly Hits & the Mrs” Tour with special guest Lily Pearl Black. They will be making a stop at the Perot Theatre on January 26, 2023. Tickets start at $40 plus applicable fees and go on-sale Friday, November 4th at 10:00 AM and available at the Perot Theatre Box Office and www.perottheatre.org.
 

2. Texarkana Homeless Coalition Chili Cook-Off
Friday, January 27
On January 27th from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m., the Texarkana Homeless Coalition will host the Bridge City Chili Cookoff at 316 Hazel Street! The funds raised through the cookoff and other projects sponsored by TXKHC will fund scholarships for educational opportunities for those experiencing homelessness and provide training and technical assistance for local agencies. Organizations and community members are invited to enter their signature chili recipes in the cook-off. To learn more and enter your signature chili visit their FB event page
 

3. Texarkana Sesquicentennial Community Quilt
Saturday, January 28
2023 is Texarkana’s 150th Anniversary and TMS is kicking off a year of special events by starting a community memory quilt. Participants are encouraged to bring a scrap of fabric that has personal meaning and add that piece to our quilt. No prior sewing experience necessary! We will help you stitch your memories. This is a great chance to share special stories from your family with your Texarkana neighbors. This is a free event, but pre-registration is recommended. 5. Gregorian Chant Seminar and Workshop
January 26 – 27
Please join us for these two amazing days of learning! On Thursday, Mr. Lowell Davis will cover the history of Gregorian Chant from the Middle-Ages to the modern age. On Friday, he will direct a vocal workshop at Sacred Heart followed by singing at 12:05pm Mass. Learn more!
 

6. 21st Annual Regional Celebration of African American Artists Exhibit: Ernest C. Withers Collection, Good Night, My Love
January 18 – March 25

This photography exhibition features work from the iconic worldwide photojournalist, Ernest C. Withers, who recorded African American history in the segregated South for over sixty years. His vast collection contains some of the most significant Civil Rights Movement activities. Withers’ ever-present three cameras captured moments of change, conflict, classic, community, bravery, courage, determination, innocence, inspiration, and love. With the added local representation from photographer Barbara Pitts Riley, and a High School Cell Phone photography competition, this exhibition details significant history lessons with glimpses of the past, present, and future. Learn more!

8. Dodgeball Tournament
Saturday, January 28
Dodge, duck, dip and dive your way to glory at The Plex’s Dodgeball Tournament on January 28th starting at 11 am. Individual entries at $20, teams are $100 and a cash prize will be awarded to the winning team’s local charity of choice. Team members must be 18 or older to participate. Food trucks will be onsite for refreshments. Spectators do not have to pay a fee to attend – learn more!
